This Privacy Policy and Consent Notice explains how House of Makrana (we, us) collects and uses your personal data when you visit https://houseofmakrana.com, contact us or place an order. It is written in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules.

1. What we collect and why

  • Name, phone number, email: to confirm and manage your order, send updates, and answer your questions.
  • Billing and shipping address, PIN code: to deliver your order and issue your invoice.
  • Order details and payment status (not your card or bank login details): to process payment, refunds, returns and our accounts.
  • Photos or videos you send for a damage or return request: to check and settle your request and to claim from the courier.
  • Messages to our support (WhatsApp, email, contact form): to help you and improve our service.
  • Website usage and device information: to keep the website working and secure.

2. Marketing is separate

We send offers and new-collection updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp only if you separately agree, for example by subscribing on our website. Agreement is never pre-selected, buying from us does not require it, and you can unsubscribe or tell us to stop at any time.

3. Who we share it with

We share data only as needed to serve you: Shopify (our store platform), our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments and UPI), courier and delivery partners, and authorities when the law requires. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Payments

Online payments are handled by our payment providers on secure pages. We do not see or store your full card details or bank passwords. For Cash on Delivery orders, we only keep the order and payment status.

5. Cookies

Our store, and the services it uses, may use cookies to keep your cart and checkout working and to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

6. How long we keep data

We keep order, invoice and tax records for as long as the law requires, which is generally up to 8 years. Other data is deleted when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected, or when you withdraw your consent, unless the law requires us to keep it.

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards such as secure checkout, limited access and trusted service providers. If a data breach affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

8. Your rights

You can write to us to ask what personal data we hold and how we use it, correct or update it, ask us to erase it (except records we must keep by law), withdraw your consent at any time, nominate someone to exercise your rights for you, or make a complaint. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before.

9. Children

Our store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place the order.

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with the updated date.
